Haley Whitaker is overjoyed to return to D.O.L.L.S. as Chapter Director! In her senior year of high school, Haley served as a chaplain for the D.O.L.L.S. chapter at Lovejoy High School. She then went on to earn her undergraduate degree in psychology and counseling from a Christian university. During that same period of time, God continuously expanded the passion within her for student ministry that began with D.O.L.L.S. Like a spark fanned into a flame, this passion became a driving force in Haley’s life, and she eventually rerouted her life plans accordingly. She sought out and earned a Master’s degree in Christian education from Dallas Theological Seminary and has found her central passion in Spiritual formation and discipleship. She believes there is no greater joy and privilege than partnering with the indwelling Holy Spirit to form the church body into the image of Christ. Young women have been (and continue to be) crucial to the global body of Christ, and Haley is motivated to help the young women of D.O.L.L.S. know their unfathomable value in the eyes of their Creator and King. She is a firm believer that a Christian is a participant in an old, old story – one begun by God long before us. Once we recognize the gift of having been drawn by Christ into God’s grand story, we will never be the same.
Haley attends Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in Carrollton, Texas. She can often be found teaching Bible studies, leading small groups, assisting with worship leading, or reading very old books. She would love for you to ask her about any of those things (or provide her with more book/music recommendations)!
